Not the R&R he was looking for. Nick Carter was released from jail on Thursday, January 14. The Backstreet Boys singer was arrested and booked at the Monroe County Detention Center in Key West, Florida, Wednesday night after allegedly getting into a bar fight.
Clad in a Tampa Bay Buccaneers tank top and shorts, the former boy bander looked happy to be free.
“I’m just a guy trying to enjoy some vacation time down here in Key West, and the truth will come out,” Carter told TMZ while getting into a taxi van.
According to CNN, Carter was involved in a drunken altercation at popular Key West bar The Hog’s Breath Saloon after a bartender refused to serve him. Per police reports, Carter and his friend were “highly intoxicated” and got aggressive, allegedly punching a bouncer.
The Dancing With the Stars contestant was charged with one misdemeanor count of battery, touch or strike.
