On their way! Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney took the unconventional route to get to the 2014 Emmys at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre — the (gasp!) L.A. subway! The ABC late night host joked about his way of transportation an hour before the live show via Instagram on Monday, Aug. 25.
"Subway to #Emmys #Mork," the 46-year-old captioned a sweet picture of the couple. Kimmel appears to be pumping his fist while wearing a black tux and matching bow tie. He also dons rainbow suspenders in honor of Robin Williams' character from the TV series Mork & Mindy, which ran from 1978 to 1982. (The Emmys will honor the late actor, who committed suicide at the age of 63 on Aug. 11.)
McNearney, for her part, bared cleavage in a sequined copper dress with a plunging neckline. The couple — who just welcomed baby girl Jane last month — also posed with their tickets at the L.A. Metro Red Line subway.
Like Kimmel, Mariah Carey and Drew Barrymore have both posted pictures of themselves riding the subway in the last few months. Carey took a ride in NYC while wearing a sparkly sky blue Atelier Versace ensemble on May 30. Barrymore applied makeup during her adventure in the Big Apple on June 20.
Kimmel previously hosted the Emmys in 2012. His ABC series, Jimmy Kimmel Live, is nominated tonight in the Best Variety Series category.
