Prince George's playlist! Prince William revealed Wednesday, July 9, that his early morning routine involves feeding Prince George, 11 months, while rocking out to music.
The Duke of Cambridge, 32, told BBC Radio 1's Gemma Cairney in his Google Hangout with Prince Harry that he listens to her show, which airs from 4 to 6:30 a.m. London time.
"William told me he listens to the show," Cairney, 29, said. "He said, 'Sometimes when I'm up with George, I have a listen.'" Added the radio show host, "I was very flattered."
Cairney even compiled a track list exclusively for her royal listeners. "If you've ever wondered what Prince Willy gets down to when he's chilling out with his lovely lady and George, he's either listening to Radio 1 or one of these guys," she told her listeners. "He told me about these artists."
Called the "Prince Willy mini-mix," Cairney's "eclectic" list included Dirty Vegas' "Days Go By," Linkin Park's "Numb," and Prince's "When Doves Cry."
George's feeding behavior made news earlier this week after Vanity Fair reported that the tot "was permanently hungry" as a newborn. It was "only in the new year when Kate introduced solids, that George finally slept through the night," contributor Katie Nicholl wrote.
The Duke and Duchess, though, have to overcome another struggle with their little tot. At an engagement with the British Sub-Aqua Club on Wednesday, William joked that George's bathtime behavior "at the moment is quite painful."
