Work it, girl! The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan bared her chiseled abs and stellar physique on the cover of Shape magazine’s new January/February issue.
The Brit star wore a black sports bra for the cover, and for the inside photo shoot, donned a black tank top and black boots.
“When I don’t exercise in the morning, it’s a completely different day than when I do,” the actress, 33, told the publication in an interview released on Tuesday, December 29. “Working out gives me endorphins and makes me happy.”
Cohan — who plays Maggie on the hit AMC show — also said that she’ll even squeeze in exercise sets between shooting takes, and despite having to arrive on set every day by 4:30 a.m., she rarely gets tired.
“I am the queen of exercise variety,” she joked. “I don’t have nightmares, even though my work means I’m constantly in darkness. I sleep like the dead! No joke intended.”
The fit beauty — who showed off a gorgeous new short haircut earlier this month — also opened up about how she endured immense teasing as a child because of her slender frame, which led to her overeating.
“Eating became a way of not getting attention for looking skinny, but it was also self-sabotage,” she admitted. “In the last few years, I’ve gotten back on track with exercising for fun and eating right, and now I’m in a happy place with myself.”
