Jason Biggs apologized again for his "poorly timed" Malaysia Airlines joke while co-hosting The View on Monday, July 21; "I was stupid," said the Orange Is the New Black star.

Still sorry. While co-hosting The View on Monday, July 21, Jason Biggs issued another apology for joking about the Malaysia Airlines tragedy hours after it occurred last week.

"There was one line, an old adage," Biggs, 36, said on the program. "'Never attribute to malice that which is explained by stupidity.' I certainly meant no harm; there was no malice, but I was stupid. It was poorly timed. I've always tried to find the humor in situations… it's a knee-jerk reaction for me, it's how I cope."

Biggs incited controversy last Thursday, July 17, after tweeting about the Malaysia Airlines commercial flight which was shot down mid-flight over the Ukraine. "Anyone wanna buy my Malaysian Airlines frequent flier miles," the Orange Is the New Black actor wrote.

Users reacted immediately by calling Biggs out for making light of the tragedy—where all 298 passengers aboard the plane died. "Hey all you 'too soon' a–holes – it's a f—ing joke," he tweeted.

Biggs took to his Twitter late Thursday evening to apologize for his insensitive remarks, and said he planned to delete his offending tweets. "People were offended, and that was not my intent. Sorry to those of you that were."

He followed up by "sending positive thoughts to the victims and their families."

Biggs added to outgoing co-host Jenny McCarthy on Monday that he initially had no grasp of "the extent and magnitude of what had happened" after joking about the tragedy. "I have nothing but sympathy for the victims and their families," he added. "I've learned my lesson and would like to move on."
