They grow up so fast! Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, flashed their biggest smiles in a new family photo the former 19 Kids and Counting star shared via Instagram on Tuesday, March 1.
“Mr. Spurgeon will be 4 months old this week! Yayyy!!!” the new mom captioned the cute photo. “Lol! He ain’t gotta clue, but Papi and I are celebrating for him over a pint of white chocolate raspberry ice cream @loblollycreamery #CelebrateAllTheMilestones #AnyExcuseForIceCream. Please tell me I’m not the only one.”
In the snapshot, Duggar, 23, and Seewald, 20, each hold up one side of a baby carrier with their son, Spurgeon, nestled inside. The tiny tot seems distracted by something off camera as he gnaws on his blanket with his mouth wide open.
The pair welcomed their first child together last November following a long, painful labor for Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s daughter. (The reality star endured nearly 48 hours of labor. The newborn weighed in at 9 pounds, 11 ounces and was 21 1/4 inches long.)
“This is painful,” she said on the final part of TLC’s Jill & Jessa: Counting On special, which aired in three parts last December.
“She was in pain, so I was feeling the pain too,” Ben said in a confessional. “It just kept dragging on.”
Since then, Spurgeon’s life has been well-documented by his proud mom, who frequently posts photos and videos of her growing boy.
As Us previously reported, Jessa and her sister Jill are set to return to TV in a brand-new series, Jill and Jessa: Counting On, on TLC, premiering on Tuesday, March 15.
