Olympic gold medalist Picabo Street is in hot water after allegedly pushing her 76-year-old father down a flight of stairs, the Salt Lake Tribune reported on Wednesday, January 13. Authorities charged her with assault and domestic violence.

According to the Tribune, police arrested the 44-year-old skier at her Park City, Utah, home on December 23 after she allegedly got into an argument with her father, Roland, that turned physical.

In the arrest affidavit, Roland alleges that he was trying to leave Street’s home when he “bumped his car into the house” in the process, which caused the athlete to yell at him angrily and then later allegedly physically assault him once they had re-entered the house.

Roland later told police officers that he “fell down two flights of stairs and may have hit his head” after his daughter allegedly grabbed him and pushed him. An officer at the scene of the altercation noted that Roland had cuts on his elbow and neck.

In a probable-cause statement filed with the Summit County jail, Picabo agreed that “during the fight, she pushed Roland down the stairs and locked him in the basement before she called dispatch.”

The Tribune also reports that her three young children witnessed the fight.
