Forever in our hearts. The 2014 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 13, were jam-packed with jokes, but there were moments of seriousness, too. In addition to the Paul Walker tribute led by Fast & Furious star Jordana Brewster, there was a brief moment at the end of the show in memory of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, courtesy of his Hunger Games: Catching Fire costar Josh Hutcherson.

Hutcherson, 21, took the stage at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live with Sam Claflin to accept the Movie of the Year Award on behalf of the entire Hunger Games: Catching Fire cast. After thanking the crew and fans, he took a moment to acknowledge Hoffman, who played Plutarch Heavensbee in the franchise.

“It was so cool to have Philip in our movies. He’s one of the actors I’ve looked up to my entire life,” Hutcherson said. “I know if Philip were here he would think this was really cool.”

He added: “We think about him every day on set, so wherever he is, this goes out to him, too.”

Hoffman was in the middle of filming the remaining Hunger Games sequels, Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2, when he died in February at age 46 of an apparent heroin overdose. The studio reportedly plans to use CGI technology to finish his remaining scenes.
