Nothing’s certain, especially her marital status. Kendra Wilkinson stopped by HuffPost Live on Monday, Oct. 6, where she discussed the state of her marriage to Hank Baskett, after Us Weekly revealed his shocking affair this past spring.
Wilkinson, 29, said their relationship has somewhat improved since Baskett cheated with transgender model, Ava Sabrina London, while Wilkinson was eight-months pregnant with their second child, daughter Alijah, now 4 months.
“I’m still trying to piece things together,” the Kendra on Top star said. “I feel like I’m in this fog. I’m in a dream I’m trying to wake up from. Initially, I believed everything that was said. They claim that there’s a polygraph out there, they claim that there’s proof out there that my husband cheated on me. But as time went on, four months later, if you really look at it, there really is no proof.”
The former Playboy Playmate told HuffPost that she did not want to make any snap judgments about her husband — or ending their marriage of five years. “I didn’t know what to do at first,” Wilkinson explained of the shocking revelation, which she says is still very much “raw.”
Added the star: “At first, when you hear this stuff, it was five weeks after giving birth to my daughter… I was going crazy. I went ballistic. I wanted to make all these rash decisions. I wanted to divorce him. I wanted to go out and be single again. I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to end it fast.”
What changed her heart? “Thank God I have the most amazing support group,” the mother of two explained. Wilkinson said her friends reminded her that her marriage was once “real,” as tough as things have been lately for the couple.
“At the end of the day, I don’t want to be a stupid girl,” she reasoned. “I don’t want to be stupid. But I know Hank loves me. But at the end of the day, I have to take things one step at a time and really figure things out.”
For now, the reality stars, also parents to 4-year-old Hank Jr., are still patching things up as WE tv documents their marital woes for the third season of Kendra on Top. “I wouldn’t say we’re ‘back together,'” Wilkinson revealed. “We’re still married, cause we’re not divorced. But, we’re at a place where we can talk right now, not about everything, but we’re talking and we’re parenting. That’s our number one priority is making sure these two kids are raised with two parents, and we want to give them a great life.”
