In the slammer Chris Brown will stay—for 131 more days that is!

The rapper has been sentenced to 131 days in jail after admitting he violated his probation on May 9.

The 25-year-old confessed in a Los Angeles courtroom Friday afternoon to the assault charge he received in 2013 after a brawl outside his hotel in Washington, D.C. The singer's probation stemmed from his 2009 assault on then girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown was originally sentenced by Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin to serve 365 days but gave the "Run It!" singer credit for the 234 days he already spent in jail and in rehab. 

Brandlin also reinstated and extended Brown's probation up till next January.

According to TMZ however, Brown may get out earlier. TMZ reports the L.A. County Sheriff's Department has been releasing inmates sentenced to 1 year after 240 days which Brown is just shy of.
