Pharrell Williams Walks Out of His Beats 1 Show After Sacha Baron Cohen Surprises Him With ‘Brothers Grimsby’ Clip

It started off as a nice surprise! Sacha Baron Cohen made an unannounced visit to Pharrell Williams’ Beats 1 show, OTHERtone, this week. While the appearance seemed pleasant at first, things quickly took an unexpected turn, and Us Weekly has the exclusive first look at their meeting.

“Where was I? I just walked in somewhere and I seen him somewhere!” the 42-year-old musician says in the video as the actor walks in and says hello to everyone in the studio.

“Yeah I was, uh, taking a s–t!” the Les Miserable star, 44, quips. “You know, generally you don’t do this [reaches out for a handshake] when someone’s actually on the toilet, really.”

That should’ve tipped the “Happy” singer off that this perhaps was not going to be the average celebrity interview.

“I was wondering whether I could show you … this is a clip from a new movie I’m working on called The Brothers Grimsby,” Baron Cohen says. “So basically I play a kind of, like a James Bond character, I play his idiotic brother. We end up on the run. Anyway, some bad stuff happens on the way.”

As the clip of the upcoming film starts to play, The Voice coach leans back. “Oh no!” he exclaims before turning his head away and groaning as the rest of the guys in the studio laugh hysterically.

“Naw! Naaw!” he cries as he waves his hand in disbelief. Not able to take anymore of whatever is playing on the laptop, the Grammy winner gets up and walks out of the studio.

OTHERtone airs on Apple’s Beats 1 on Sundays. The Brothers Grimsby hits theaters on March 11.
