Finally! Jake Gyllenhaal has shaved off his beard!

The actor had been sporting a beard and long, shaggy hair for the past six months while working on his upcoming movie Everest, in which he plays experienced climbing guide Scott Fischer. The flick is based on the true-life adventure about a fateful mountain expedition in 1996.

The 33-year-old stepped out in New York City's Soho, displaying his clean-shaven face while hitting up Bloomingdale's. 

The Love & Other Drugs actor kept his head covered in a blue beanie, leaving us to wonder if he's also gotten rid of his long hair.

During an interview on BBC One's The Graham Norton Show back in 2012 when Gyllenhaal also sported a beard, he joked: "I essentially have a dog on my face."

When asked if he grooms his beard, the actor laughingly admitted: "Sometimes I brush it, yes. [And] sometimes things do [get stuck in it]."
