After seven seasons together on NBC’s The Voice, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have formed a deep bond noticed and appreciated by many. The bromance even has its own fan name, “Shevine.” Naturally, new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams have picked up on The Voice veterans’ tight friendship.
In an exclusive new clip, pals and collaborators Stefani, 45, and Williams, 41, analyzed their costar’s bromance.
“Blake is a like a G, like an OG. He’s just so cool. He’s calm waters,” the “Happy” crooner said of Shelton, 38. “And then Adam, he’s the attention guy, but he’s good at it. So you see the guy that’s real calm and laid back approach, and then you see the guy that’s super aggressive like ‘I’ve got the brightest feathers here. What are you doing? You need to be on my team.’”
The “Hollaback Girl” singer also dished on a special moment she shared with the Maroon 5 rocker, 35, when the cameras weren’t rolling.
“They do this whole thing like they hate each other, but Adam turns to me and he’s like ‘Seriously, I love that guy so much.’ And then he turns and he flips him off,” she said laughing. “So it’s this whole back and forth thing, but it goes deep for them. They have a real chemistry.”
“We couldn’t get away with what they do,” Williams noted. “That would be like Us [Weekly] Magazine!”
Hmm, now that you mention it, a Gwen/Pharrell love connection would be scandalous!
