Momoa now joins Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. As Us previously reported, Affleck has been busy bulking up while filming the highly-anticipated project in Detroit, Mich., by training two hours a day in order to slip into the iconic costume.

"Ben provides an interesting counterbalance to Henry's Superman," director Zack Snyder said in a statement last year. "He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can't wait to work with him."

The film also stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred. Amy Adams, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne will reprise their Man of Steel roles.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
