Andrew Garfield arrived in Venice, Italy, on Aug. 26 for the Venice Film Festival with impressive scruff in tow.
The Amazing Spider-Man star, 31, rocked a full-on beard that would make any mountain man — or Jared Leto — proud.
Although he has worn both the clean-shaved and scruffy looks before, this new style represents an impressive commitment to growth.
Just last month, Garfield wore a full beard to the Magic in the Moonlight premiere with girlfriend Emma Stone in New York on July 17. And in the six weeks since then, it appears that he has let it grow, grow, grow.
Ahead of any red carpet appearances at the film festival, Garfield may take as long primping his facial hair as love Stone, who’s in town for her film Birdman. “To get a great looking beard you must care for it on a daily basis,” celeb groomer Diana Schmidtke, who was responsible for Jon Hamm’s trimmed version at the Emmys on Aug. 26, told Us Weekly. “For a red carpet beard, you want to wet shave under the chin and address the lower neck area to create clean lines.”
