The actor, 41, spoke with ABC about his feelings on possibly winning his first-ever Academy Award for his role in The Revenant. “I think we’re all nervous. I’ve worked for almost over 25 years in this industry and here I am, you know, representing a movie that I feel so particularly proud of,” he told Robin Roberts. “But more so than that, I’m here with my mother. I’ve been in this town for 25 years. He has been nominated five times before, but DiCaprio — who is nominated for best actor this year — has yet to take home an Oscar. After winning at the Golden Globes, the BAFTAs and the Screen Actors Guild Awards for his portrayal of Hugh Glass in The Revenant, it seems like the Wolf of Wall Street star might finally receive his first golden statuette from the Academy.
