Ariana Grande really knows her Top 40 hits! The superstar rattled off a bunch of popular songs during a hilarious Lip Sync Conversation with Jimmy Fallon during The Tonight Show on Monday, April 25.
The late-night host, 41, exchanged friendly banter with Grande, 22, backstage. The pair said their hellos, shared throwback photos with each other and, err, got into a bit of an argument. But to ease the awkwardness, they pretended to belt out the lyrics to recent pop hits.
“Why you gotta be so rude,” Grande said, referring to MAGIC!’s 2014 tune “Rude.”
Fallon, a Justin Bieber fan, quipped back: “Is it too late to say sorry?”
The twosome also revealed their weekend plans. Fallon is headed to Home Depot and hopes to swing from a “Chandelier” — like Sia. As for Grande? She’s going to the beach because, like DNCE says, there’s always “Cake by the Ocean.”
Other songs that Fallon and Grande pretended to sing included Beyoncé’s “Sandcastles,” Meghan Trainor’s “No” and ‘N Sync’s “Bye Bye Bye.”
