Walking proof! Vanessa Lachey didn't go public with her pregnancy until Tuesday, July 15, but there were clues as early as a month ago, when the second-time mom-to-be stepped out with what we now know was a teeny, tiny baby bump.
The Entertainment Tonight personality was photographed in New York City on Tuesday, June 10, wearing ripped jeans, a black and white varsity jacket, and a loose black T-shirt that skimmed her ever-so-slightly rounder-than-usual stomach. She's kept a low profile since then, except on Twitter and Instagram, where she posts photos of husband Nick Lachey and son Camden.
Soon, there will be another little Lachey in the bunch. As previously reported, the former Miss Teen USA winner and her ex-boy bander spouse are expecting a baby girl. Nick tweeted the news on July 15, sharing a photo of Camden on the beach, with the words "It's a girl" written in the sand. "Can't think of a better way to celebrate 3 years of marriage to my beautiful @VanessaLachey than this!" he captioned the pic.
Earlier this year, the couple spoke to Parents magazine about their plans to expand their family. "We definitely want more kids," Nick told the mag. Of their timeline for that, he said that he didn't want his kids "to have to share the same group of friends," but he did want them "to be close enough in age…to still relate to each other." Added Vanessa: "You don't want them so far apart that they have nothing in common."
Nick also spoke about what Vanessa is like as a mom, gushing, "My wife's maternal side is a new dynamic to her personality—and it's definitely made her even sexier."
She was equally effusive about him as a father, telling the mag, "I knew the man I was going to marry was not only a great man, a good friend, and a family guy, but he was going to respect and treat me well and be an amazing father and role model to our children. That's Nick."
