Zayn Malik’s Fiancee Perrie Edwards Has “No Idea” When They’ll Wed

Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards
Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards are set to walk down the aisle, but the Little Mix singer tells Us Weekly she has had "no time" to plan a wedding.

Little Mix's Perrie Edwards isn't like most brides-to-be. Rather than prepping a wedding binder of dresses she loves or table settings she can't wait to create, the U.K. pop star — engaged to One Direction's Zayn Malik — is too busy celebrating the launch of her girl group's latest album, Salute, Stateside and preparing to head on tour with Demi Lovato. And as Edwards tells Us Weekly, that's just how she prefers it — for now. "Everything is so busy. Hopefully we will one day be able to sit down together and start making plans," Edwards, 20, told Us of her and One Direction's Malik, 21. "No date at all in mind yet."

Engaged since August 2013 when Malik presented Edwards with a diamond and platinum engagement ring, the couple will have to wait even longer to spend quality time with one another, let alone begin wedding planning. While Edwards and her Little Mix band mates — Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock — tour with Lovato, Malik and his band will be singing their way through the U.S. and Canada on their own headlining tour. No stranger to distance, Edwards is confident she and Malik will maintain their bond. "It's gonna be tough but we always make it work," explains the 1D star's longtime love. "Lots of texting and talking. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, I guess."

When she's not hanging with her Little Mix girls or trying to befriend Lovato ("she's lovely and amazing," the singer gushes) Edwards has daydreamed about walking down the aisle with her "Story of My Life" crooner beau.

"I do love Disney so [a themed wedding] would be amazing," says Edwards, who just vacationed with Malik at Disneyland Paris. "I'm a big child. We are both big kids!"

As for starting their own family, Edwards tells Us she's undecided on how many little Maliks she wants running around the house. "[The Little Mix girls are] are ambitious and want to take over the world and do everything we can while we're young and have time to do it. But I still want the same thing every other girl or woman wants in the world," she says of starting a family. "I have no idea how many kids I want — you never know until you get to that point of life when you're ready — but I'm not anywhere near that yet."
