Keke Palmer stunned her legion of followers on Wednesday, Sept. 3, by trading in her signature long locks for an edgier pixie haircut.
The 21-year-old star — who’s poised for a run on Broadway as the first African-American Cinderella beginning Sept. 9 — revealed a shorter, darker, wispy hairstyle via Instagram. Palmer cooly accessorized the makeover with a lace tank top and black skinny jeans.
Palmer’s new sexy image is miles away from the Emmys red carpet looks she tried on for Us Weekly exclusively ahead of the show. Along with her style team, she explained she wanted to look like a “princess” for her big night. Her final outfit fulfilled that wish with a dream gown by Rubin Singer and her long hair pulled back in an elegant low ponytail.
