It’s an exciting time for Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. The former Jersey Shore star, 26, is going through many transitions as she expands and relocates her family and finally prepares to wed her longtime love Jionni LaValle.
Polizzi took time out of her busy schedule to stop by Us Weekly‘s New York City offices on Monday, Oct. 27, and gave Us exclusive updates on her children Lorenzo and Giovanna, her wedding planning, and what’s ahead on the upcoming season of Snooki & JWoww.
“It’s not that hard to plan a wedding,” says the reality star, who plans to marry LaValle, 27, in the coming months. “For me, it’s just, I don’t let myself get stressed out. I just enjoy the moment and I try to be positive about everything. Considering I moved into my house, had my second baby, and am now getting married, all in like, two months, I’m just not stressed. I don’t know what it is — I’m just doing it.”
Polizzi and LaValle welcomed their newborn daughter Giovanna Marie on Sept. 26 and moved into a gorgeous new house in New Jersey soon thereafter. The pair, who got engaged in 2012, previously welcomed Giovanna’s big brother Lorenzo, 2, in August 2012.
Since becoming a mom, Polizzi has completely transformed, focusing on her fitness and health, and foregoing the wild late night parties of her Jersey Shore heyday for time at home with the kids.
“Snooki was kinda like my party girl alter-ego, and I never party anymore,” she tells Us. “I don’t have time for that s–t. I just want people to get to know me as a mother and as an adult, and that’s Nicole.”
The newly minted Nicole has found her way as a parent, even navigating Lorenzo’s now-rampant mood swings, and juggling life with two young children.
“Giovanna just turned one month yesterday,” Polizzi tells Us. “It’s going by so quick, I feel like I just had her yesterday. It’s kind of easy with two kids now because she’s a newborn! All she does is eat and s–t and sleeps… she just lays there. I think once Giovanna starts to actually move and crawl and run around, that’s when s–t’s gonna hit the fan.”
The mood is already fairly crazed in the Polizzi-LaValle household, however, as the MTV star tells Us that Lorenzo has hit an interesting age.
“Lorenzo, who’s 2, he has temper tantrums, he’s running around everywhere,” she says. “It happens to every parent. The terrible twos, they just go crazy! They cry at everything, they scream at everything… all he says is ‘no,’ he hits me in the face… I mean, you know, he’s crazy!”
