Artie Lange, the comedian and radio host, was hospitalized on Tuesday, April 15, after going into diabetic shock. Lange himself revealed the news via Twitter, sharing a photo from his hospital bed.
The picture showed the former Howard Stern Show funnyman in a hospital gown and blue scrub pants, with what appears to be a blood pressure monitor on his upper arm.
"In the hospital outside of Detroit after going into diabetic shock," Lange, 46, wrote. "Trying to get better. Sorry for missing gigs." He later added that his road manager was with him.
Lange, host of The Artie Lange Show, is currently on tour doing stand-up. His next show is scheduled for Saturday, April 19, in L.A.
