Brian Williams Raps Snoop Dogg’s “Who Am I (What’s My Name?)” in Tonight Show Skit: Watch

From the depths of the sea, back to the block, Brian Willy Williams, funky as the, the, The D.O.C.! Jimmy Fallon put Brian Williams‘ rap skills to the test once more on Monday, Feb. 2, and had him take on a Snoop Dogg classic. 

In an uproarious Tonight Show skit, Fallon and his team remixed Williams’ NBC News broadcasts to make the down-for-whatever anchor perform Snoop’s 1993 hit “Who Am I (What’s My Name?).”

Following shots of the California landscape, the acclaimed journalist, 55, is shown sitting at his news desk in front of story teases as he spits Snoop Dogg’s lyrics. 

This is hardly the first time that Fallon, 40, has spoofed Williams. The Tonight Show previously ran Williams’ raps of songs including “Rapper’s Delight,” “Baby Got Back,” and “Regulate.”

Williams, who has also stepped up to “Slow Jam the News” with Fallon, spoke to the host about his MC abilities last April. 

“People think I have somehow colluded into the making of these videos,” he lamented. “Let’s be clear, these are words… I’ve never said hippity, never said hippity… no, no, no, hippity is a contraction,” he added of his supposed performance of “Rapper’s Delight.”

“It’s been very big in my life,” Williams said of the rap videos. “It’s all anyone mentions to me any more.”
