Better watch out, Angie! Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf both spoke to Us Weekly at the London premiere of Fury on Sunday, Oct. 19, about forming friendships and building relationships on the set of the war drama.
While Pitt described his relationship with his costars as more parental, the opposite held true for LaBeouf, who told Us his dynamic with Angelina Jolie‘s husband was spousal.
“[I have] a real understanding with the guys,” Pitt, 50, told Us, adding that his time on the set of the movie made him a better father overall.
How so? “Knowing when they need to vent,” said the doting father of six, “knowing when they need to be put in line, knowing when they need to be inspired… to feel where they are, where their moral is, and where they are mentally.”
The dad to Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 6, told Us it’s helped him as a real-life parent.
As for his costar and pal LaBeouf? “No, I never looked at him like a father figure,” the former Disney star, 28, told Us. “He’s like my husband,” he said joking. “He’s daddy, I’m mommy.”
