Mr. Margulies completes a perfect marriage! Julianna Margulies has it good with her hot lawyer husband, Keith Lieberthal, sources tell Us Weekly. The spouses of seven years — who shined brightly at Monday’s Emmys 2014 festivities — share a “crazy strong” marriage, according to insiders close to the couple.
“He gives her a lot of life,” one insider tells Us of the former Wall Street litigator. The couple first met at a mutual friend’s dinner party and had an immediate connection, the Good Wife star told Ellen DeGeneres back in 2011. “When he came over to me, I said, ‘Look, I just think you are so handsome. Are you a model or an actor and are you 12 [years old]?'” she said then.
The six-year age difference, though, is not a factor between the pair. “There is a serious attraction between them,” the same insider explains to Us. “And beyond that, there are a lot of mutual interests.” During their downtime, the couple enjoy frequent visits to art galleries and museums, Broadway shows, and otherwise like to explore New York City, where they live with their 6-year-old son Kieran.
While chiseled, blue-eyed Lieberthal, 42, looks like he belongs on TV right beside his Emmy-winning wife, 48, the legal professional went to Harvard Law and keeps Margulies intellectually stimulated. “They talk about loftier things when they are together,” the insider tells Us. “She likes that he’s not in the industry, but he gets it.”
Indeed, Margulies told DeGeneres that she’s accustomed to the fawning. “I feel bad because people objectify him and they’re like, ‘Oh, your husband is so hot,'” she said. “The truth is, he is unbelievably bright and smart and went to Harvard Law.” He’s also, she added, a “remarkable, good human being.”
Another source tells Us that Lieberthal is in fact, “the nicest guy” and he “adores Julianna.”
“He loves that she is not just a pretty face — he loves her intellect,” the second insider says. “They do almost everything together.”
Lieberthal took a back seat when he accompanied his wife to the 2014 Emmys on Monday, and Seth Meyers’ afterparty at Hyde in L.A. An observer at the bash told Us that Margulies would always return to her husband when he wasn’t by her side in other conversations.
“Their relationship is crazy strong,” the insider tells Us of the pair.
