Behold, the bump! Kourtney Kardashian's nude photo shoot for DuJour magazine has already made headlines once this week — and now it's in the news again, thanks to the big reveal of the striking cover shot, which shows the soon-to-be third-time mom completely naked in profile, her nine months pregnant belly on full display.
In the pic — taken by celeb shutterbug Brian Bowen Smith — the Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons star, 35, shows off her famous curves while staring sultrily over her shoulder. One arm covers her breasts, but she wears no clothes or even jewelry. (In each of the other three photos from the magazine, she has on at least one accessory.)
"To me, nudity is not something to be ashamed of," she told DuJour. "I'm not embarrassed of my body. I'm at my best when I'm pregnant. It's such an amazing feeling, the transformation that your body goes through. There's something about that that's so empowering and beautiful and I just really embrace it."
Asked how she thought the pictures would be received, she said she didn't know — and frankly didn't care. "It's what a woman's body is made to do, so I hope it's maybe seen as something that's artistic," she said. "This was something that initially I did for myself just to capture the moment in my life, but these photos are beautiful and I'm happy to share them."
She added that she likes how "raw" they are. "It's my body: I'm not trying to impress anybody or be something that I'm not," she explained. "But in general, I don't really care that much about what people think. It doesn't rule my world. I did this because I wanted to and it made me happy."
Of course, Kardashian isn't the first star to strip down while pregnant. She joins a long list of celebs including Demi Moore, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, and Cindy Crawford.
