Mother and daughter, together again! Sara Gilbert reunited with her TV mom Roseanne Barr when the latter appeared on Gilbert's CBS show, The Talk, on Tuesday, Aug. 5. The two formerly costarred together on the Emmy-winning sitcom Roseanne, which aired from 1988 to 1997.

Asked which of her three eldest TV kidsDarlene (Gilbert), Rebecca (Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke), and D.J. (Michael Fishman)she was most like as a teen, Barr replied, "I was most like Darlene…I was kind of a rebel, and, you know, I had periods of depression and stuff like that, and I just thought that was a cool and very accurate way that a lot of girls are, especially intelligent, thinking, sensitive girls, so it was important to me to have that element in the show."

Then, turning to Gilbert, the 61-year-old comedienne said, "You brought it to life, and it's wonderful."

Gilbert, 39, returned the affection. "Julie was saying, 'The pictures are so sweet,' and I was thinking, 'Well, it's because that chemistry is there,'" she said. "Like, we were really a family. Without each other, there would be no show."

The two also reminisced about working with George Clooney on the show. An infamous prankster, the now A-list actor took a picture of his, ahem, nether regions adorned with a pair of Groucho glasses. According to Barr, he left the photo on the fridge in the Conner house on setbut it disappeared after a couple of days.

"I thought it would surface by now," she quipped. "But maybe they don't know it's George Clooney." (They do now!)
