How ‘bout now? Mindy Kaling is dropping trou for Nationwide. The Mindy Project actress stars in the insurance company’s Super Bowl commercial and according to a teaser, she’s up for almost anything — because she thinks she’s invisible.
“After years of being treated like she was invisible, it occurred to Mindy she might actually be invisible,” a voiceover is heard while Kaling, 35, walks the streets of New York City, doing whatever she pleases, including stealing food off a stranger’s plate and meditating buck naked in Central Park.
To the tune of Roy Orbison’s “Oh, Pretty Woman,” Kaling also eats out of an ice cream container in a grocery store and walks through a car wash with absolutely no fear.
The ad likely features another star too. After warning viewers, “But Mindy was actually not invisible,” The Office alum is heard asking the back of an unidentified person, but likely equally amazing, star’s head, “Can you see me?” before the teaser ends.
