Sarah Silverman Plays Joan Rivers in Saturday Night Live Heaven Skit: Watch Now!

After the tragic loss of comedienne Joan Rivers in early September, fans and members of the comedy community mourned for the trailblazing TV personality. On Oct. 4, Rivers’ longtime friend Sarah Silverman honored the comedy great while hosting Saturday Night Live

The A Million Ways to Die in the West star, 43, dressed like the Fashion Police host for a skit in which she performed stand-up in heaven with other late greats like Freddy Mercury (played by musical guest Adam Levine), Ben Franklin (Bobby Moynihan), Lucille Ball (Kate McKinnon), and Eartha Kitt (Sasheer Zamata).

“Heaven, are you serious? Me in heaven? I guess I should be here, I’m practically a virgin. The last time I had someone inside me, it was Melissa!” Silverman quipped, referencing Rivers’ 46-year-old daughter.

Rivers passed away on Sept. 4 after suffering complications from a minor throat surgery. At the time, Silverman told late night host Jimmy Kimmel, “I am broken inside. She was a hero to me and I loved her very much… I think a lot of people, when they die at 81, you go, ‘Well, she was 81, she had an amazing life.’ But she wasn’t done. Right now, [she] was at her most vital.”
