An "Invisible Boyfriend" phone app now allows users to receive 100 texts, voicemails, and more from an imaginary boyfriend or girlfriend -- get the details

George Glass, are you there? Those seeking a significant other ASAP are now in luck! The new phone app "Invisible Boyfriend" helps users land the perfect (fake) girlfriend or boyfriend for just $24.99!

So, how do you get started? After signing up, the program will ask you to personally create your loved one. "You'll give him a name, choose his age and photo, and create his personality," the site reads. After that, it's smooth sailing. With the set price, users will receive 100 texts, 10 voicemails, and even one handwritten postcard from their imaginary lovebird.

"Invisible Boyfriend" launched on Tuesday, Jan. 20, and has already stirred up lots of talk on social media. Its co-founder, Matthew Homann, is already seeing positive feedback. On Thursday, he explained why he decided to start the app during a pre-taped Today show interview.

"I was newly divorced and got tired of everyone asking if I was dating or seeing someone," he said. "There seems to be this romance culture in our country where people are looked down upon if they aren't in a relationship."

The app is just in its beginning stages, but Homann and his hundreds of employees are already thinking about new ways to improve it. Down the road, they hope "Invisible Boyfriend" will provide gifts at work and deliver flowers to users on Valentine's Day.
