The new Bravo unscripted series centers on six Los Angeles-based mothers who meet with parenting expert Jill Spivack for an eight-week course. The show stars Beth Bowen, Jen Bush, Meghan Conroy-Resich, Stefanie Fair, Leah Forester and Alisa Starler.

In the premiere episode’s preview clip, Fair — who was once in the girl group Wild Orchid, which also counts Fergie as a former member — stuns her counterparts by revealing her rather unconventional method for getting her children to fall asleep. Let’s just say that Joan Crawford would be proud.

When someone asks Fair whether she can find time to sleep amid her busy schedule, the mother of four replies, “Well, yeah — my kids are locked in their rooms. … I latch them in.”
