Boundaries be damned! Jennifer Lopez tried her hand at country music in a newly released duet with Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles: “My House,” which debuted on NPR on Thursday, May 5.

The track, which caps off Nettles’ second solo album, Playing With Fire, features the two songstresses trading verses about how they are really not so different despite initial appearances.

“We hang on the porch / We hang on the stoop / Our boys shootin’ deer / Our boys shootin’ hoops,” the pair sings. “We’re really not that different / It’s in the way we live / It’s in the way we talk / I’m Jenny from the dirt road / I’m Jenny from the Block / We’re really not that different.”

At one point, Lopez, 46, even belts out part of her lyrics in Spanish.

“Mi casa es tu casa!” she cries over twanging banjos.

Lopez’s jaunt into the country music genre comes just two weeks after Beyoncé dropped her new visual album, Lemonade, which features country-tinged track “Daddy Lessons.”

The “Formation” singer’s move into the country realm sparked criticism, but Blake Shelton came to her defense.

“People that criticize can kiss my a–. That’s what I say,” the Voice coach told Entertainment Tonight on Monday, May 2. “I can’t believe people that don’t contribute to music that criticize music. It just blows my mind, and Beyoncé, I’d tell them to kiss that a–, is what I would do.”
