A winner after all! He might have come only third in the Survivor: Kaoh Rong — Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty II season finale, but Tai Trang must have been feeling on top of the world after a surprise guest visit from pop star Sia.
The “Chandelier” singer emerged out of nowhere during the show’s live finale in Los Angeles, shouting out to host Jeff Probst from the crowd.
Probst invited the 40-year-old singer up onto the stage as he was talking to Trang about his exit from the show, and the 51-year-old gardener currently living in San Francisco was, predictably, speechless.
Turned out fan-favorite Trang, who spoke about his love of animals during the series and even saved a chicken from slaughter while filming the show in Cambodia, despite the fact the entire camp was starving, had a very famous fan!
And as Sia (her face covered by her trademark wig) took to the stage, she announced her intentions to gift Trang with $50,000 and to give another $50,000 to an animal charity of his choice.
“I could not let Tai go home without saying that your authenticity and your care for animals really inspired me,” the Australian singer said. “I just want to say thank you for showing America how to be kind to animals.”
“Thank you so much! I’m speechless!” the surprised contestant said, as he hugged his celebrity benefactor. “We cannot be so human centric, without the whole eco system we will be doomed,” he said.
The entire crowd got up and gave Sia a standing ovation. Watch the moment in the clip above!
