Mail fail! In order to get their hands on Kylie Jenner's coveted Lip Kits, fans wait for the exact moment they go on sale and hope their fingers click fast enough to grab a product and pay before they all sell out (which can happen in a matter of minutes).
But now, some consumers are reporting that once they finally receive their liner and gloss two-packs in the mail, their packages are empty. And the problem is widespread enough to reach the Better Business Bureau.
According to the BBB, the problem isn't on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star's end — well, not totally. TMZ says the Bureau thinks the "highly recognizable" boxes are to blame. Thieves looking to cash in on an opportune moment snatch up the merchandise within the dripping lip gloss logo packages, leaving their empty shells on the doorsteps of disappointed customers.
What makes the $29 Lip Kits a target in the first place? The fact that some are selling for up to $100 on eBay doesn't help. The limited stock means that there's a market for people who are willing to pay more for the same in-demand product.
Jenner has already made plans to thwart the opportunists by making her labels and packaging less obvious, according to TMZ.
