Eva Longoria has spoken out about her romantic Mexican wedding with longtime love Jose “Pepe” Baston — and revealed that Victoria Beckham played a starring role!
As Us Weekly reported previously, the former Spice Girl was chosen by Longoria, 41, to design her stunning silk crepe gown for her big day. But in an interview with Hello! magazine, Longoria revealed her high profile pal’s duties didn’t stop there.
“I asked Victoria to do my dress because I wanted it to be special and made with love – and I knew that Victoria would make it with love,” the Desperate Housewives alum revealed to the publication. “Victoria was one of my witnesses, too – she signed the paper that says I was here – so it was a Victoria Beckham weekend!”
“She was the best, sweetest person to have there on this day,” the actress gushed. “Not only did she do my wedding dress but she’s one of my best friends so for her to be there was so special.”
The couple’s star-studded ceremony was held in Valle de Bravo, Mexico, with Melanie Griffith and Ricky Martin among the guests.
“We wanted to get married in our house and do something very intimate,” the actress continued. “We have both been married before and we know the wedding is not the marriage so we wanted to pick a place so it wouldn’t be about the event but about celebrating our love. Now we are looking forward to the marriage part. We’re just so excited to be Mr and Mrs Bastón.”
Last week, Longoria shared a series of videos via social media of herself and Baston on honeymoon.
“Ok, I wasn’t going to do much snaps on my honeymoon, but I had to show you guys that,” the Devious Maids producer captioned one video of herself taking a dip in a stunning waterfall.
The pair made their official debut as a couple in November 2013 and got engaged last December during a trip to Dubai. Longoria was previously married twice, to actor Tyler Christopher and to NBA player Tony Parker. The Televisa president was previously married to actress Natalia Esperón.
