Gigi Hadid’s Latest Modeling Campaign Includes Roundhouse Kicks, Punches

It’s not every day that the worlds of high fashion and boxing meet. But Gigi Hadid‘s latest campaign for Stuart Weitzman features her favorite gym moves — in over-the-knee boots with high heels.

In fact, Hadid’s kick-ass boxing workout inspired the images, shot in black and white by Mario Testino to capture the brand’s minimalist aesthetic. “The campaign captures her power, agility and gracefulness with vigorous energy,” a statement from the brand read. “In the world of Stuart Weitzman, ‘sexy’ means being comfortable and confident in your own skin, and the [photos] capture that essence.”

The Maybelline spokesperson, 20, kicks, jumps and punches for the sexy images, which feature her in the brand’s iconic footwear. While she proves she can do just about any move in her Stuarts, she’s more likely to wear them on the street than the gym. “On the red carpet is where I take more fashion risks, and then street style is my real life,” Hadid said in a behind-the-scenes video for the campaign. “That’s why you see me in Stuart Weitzman so much because it’s always comfortable.”

Hadid particularly loves the brand’s various thigh-high styles, which come in a flat, mid-size, and very tall heel. “The over-the-knee silhouette has become so popular,” she said. “What I personally love about it is that you can wear [Stuart’s] low-heel version and it still makes your leg look long, unlike other pairs of flat shoes. I’ve worn it with miniskirts, over jeans.”

Don’t be surprised if you spot Hadid more often than not in the new-for-fall Leggy Lady. “It goes higher — I love the pointed toe and I love that it comes in velvet,” she explained. “When you’re doing monochromatic outfits, which I usually do, something like colored velvet adds another texture.”
