Ben who? JoJo Fletcher is ready to find her Prince Charming on season 12 of The Bachelorette. The star opened up about her journey during a new interview on set of the ABC series.
“This is not normal life! It’s crazy to think that 25 guys are here to meet me, and I hope they’re excited that it’s me,” Fletcher, 25, told Extra on Wednesday, May 4. “I’m crazy excited.”
The Texas-based real estate developer went on to describe her perfect man. “I just want somebody that’s my best friend,” she said. “[Someone] that can make me laugh.”
Indeed, Fletcher is in need of a pick-me-up. She was left crushed when Ben Higgins chose Lauren Bushnell over her during The Bachelor’s final rose ceremony last season.
“When I left Jamaica, I was heartbroken. I went home and had weeks to get over the real heartbreak part,” Fletcher told Extra. “I was such good friends with Lauren, and I harbor no ill feelings towards Ben.”
And it has showed. Fletcher also had nice things to say about the engaged couple when they taped After the Final Rose in March. “I think she’s an amazing person, and I think the world of you,” Fletcher told Bushnell at the time. “I think everything happened for a reason, and I’m really happy for you guys.”
The Bachelorette returns to ABC on Monday, May 23, at 9 p.m. ET.
