Things can only get better. Former TLC reality star John Gosselin has given an update on relations between himself and ex-wife Kate Gosselin, and things are looking bad.

During an interview with Yahoo, the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star, 39, revealed he and his ex barely talk and said he struggles to spend time with his children despite having a custody agreement that entitles him to weekly dinners and overnights every weekend.

"I can't do anything," he explained about the situation, which has prevented him from seeing his 12-year-old son Collin for more than a year. "It's unfair of her to do that, considering she claims that she does her best for all my kids. Dah, dah, dah, drama. ‘I'm perfect.' No one's perfect, honey. Trust me," he blasted.

Jon claimed he has no control over which of his kids come to see him, and said that Kate controls matters to make sure he never gets more than four children to visit at a time.

"Now all the secrets are coming out because I'm not afraid to say anything," he continued. "‘How come you only get four kids?' Because who I get is who I get. Whoever comes through that gate or gets off that bus is who I get. And Collin is homeschooled, so he doesn't get off a bus," he added.

The former TV star turned DJ went on to admit that things between him and his family are "bad right now," and said it would be "time to go back to court" if he had the finances.

"I've been going to court for seven years now," he went on. "Unless you can arbitrate out of it and have a working relationship with the other parent, you're going to spend a lot of money."

And the thing that upsets him most is never knowing where his kids actually are.

"I have no contact with them," he said of the lack of communication he has with his kids when they're with their mother. "I'm hoping they're at school today. I just have to trust that everything is going OK."

"She pulls custody BS, like, ‘Oh, you don't have custody this week. We're filming.' But she won't tell me where they're filming,” he continued, adding that he searches on Twitter to try to get a handle on their whereabouts.
