All good things come to an end, and Kylie Jenner knows one day her fame will too. The makeup maven opened up to Allure about living most of her life in the spotlight and the “normal things” she wants to do in the future, like having kids.

"I don't know how long all of this will last,” she said in the magazine’s August issue of her fame and fortune. “I’m a special case. I can't remember what it's like not to be famous. So I'm able to appreciate what true happiness is all about. A new car, that's not real happiness. That lasts a month. That's short-term happiness. [Happiness is] being with your friends, right?”

While the 18-year-old spends most of her days in front of cameras — either for her reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians or her own Snapchat account — one day she wants to step out of the public eye. “I know I don't want to be famous forever," she said. "There's gonna be a time where I feel comfortable, I'm at a good place in my life, and I just stop."

Jenner went on to say that her future might not be with another A-lister. “I don’t necessarily have to date someone who’s famous,” she told Allure, although she’s currently dating her famous on-off boyfriend, Tyga. As for kids, she wants them “eventually,” she said. “Of course.”

While fans think they have an up-close look at Jenner’s life and relationships via social media and TV, she said that what she posts on social media is just a facade. "People think that since we have a reality TV show and I show so much of my life that they know who I am. But on Snapchat I show people what I think they want to see,” she said of her designer clothes, mansion, luxury cars and more. “That's not me. It's a projected image, a brand. I'm not a different person. I just don't show all of me."

Her reason for keeping part of herself closed off: “I usually don’t show my true personality to the world, because when you open yourself up so much, there’s more room for people to say things about you.”

The Kylie Cosmetics creator expressed how her family, including her dad, Caitlyn Jenner, is the key to keeping her grounded in Hollywood. “When we were younger, me and Kendall [Jenner] would run into [our dad] fully dressed in women’s clothes. It was a secret,” she said. Once Caitlyn decided to transition, Kylie said she was fully supportive. “I just told Caitlyn, ‘You should do what you want in your life.’ I’m just happy that she can live her life as herself now … A lot of transgender people look up to [Caitlyn], and she’s doing a lot [to educate people] around the world. All she cares about is helping other people who are going through the same thing.”
