Jordan Rodgers has zero time for his scorned ex-girlfriend Brittany Farrar, who previously accused the former football player of cheating on her. During a press conference on Tuesday, August 2, Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher’s new fiancé addressed his ex’s allegations.
“There’s been a lot of really harsh and very untrue allegations along the way,” the 27-year-old told reporters when asked about Farrar’s scathing Instagram post from this past May. “It’s [about] moving forward and any of that is so not true that it’s not even worth time … I’m just happy to start this new life with my fiancée and that’s what I’m focusing on.”
During season 12 of the dating competition show, Fletcher, 25, confronted her now husband-to-be about his past relationships, revealing that she had crossed paths with a woman who dated Rodgers. During Tuesday’s conference call though, Fletcher clarified that it wasn’t Farrar who she had met.
“I have never met his ex-girlfriend Brittany. I think that’s what people just assumed,” the newly engaged reality star explained. “I actually never met any of his ex-girlfriends. I had bumped into someone that he … knew from like five or six years ago, and they went on a couple dates … so it wasn’t really that relevant, but I think the way that it showed, it made it look like I had met [Brittany].”
Fletcher, who is head over heels in love with Rodgers despite their rocky road to romance, added that Farrar’s Instagram post doesn’t affect her. “As far as what exes say,” she added. “I’ve learned to take that with a grain of salt from personal experience.”
As previously reported by Us, Rodgers proposed to Fletcher during the dramatic and emotional two-hour long season 12 finale on Monday, August 1, with a stunning 3-carat Neil Lane diamond ring.
The happy couple revealed during the After the Final Rose special that they’re moving to Dallas and will hopefully wed sometime in 2017, but that they plan on letting the “craziness settle down a little bit.”
