Susan Sarandon looked miserable at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia on Monday, July 25. The Oscar-winning actress was spotted in the crowd at the Wells Fargo Center shaking her head in disagreement.
“Susan Sarandon is having literally the worst time at the #DemConvention,” Twitter user Ian McKenna tweeted along with a GIF of the star, 69, looking miserable. The actress then retweeted the GIF, confirming it was “accurate.”
Sarandon, a Bernie Sanders supporter, has criticized Hillary Clinton on numerous accounts, dubbing her more “dangerous” than Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
During a recent interview with Jordan Chariton, the actress also slammed the DNC’s hacked emails, which revealed their favor for Clinton over Sanders.
“That’s so disgusting,” Sarandon said of the leak. “The critical question is, does it matter? Nixon resigned when they broke into the [DNC] headquarters … and now you found out all this tampering went on. What does this really say about us if all of this goes by unattended?”
Although the Feud star has been vocal about not agreeing with Trump, she continued that she can see why some are resonating with the controversial businessman.
“A lot of people felt disenfranchised. A lot of people are working so hard and getting nowhere,” she said. “A lot of people are sick with politics the way it is, and Bernie and Trump spoke to those people.”
