A crusade for cosmetics. Teen Mom OG’s Farrah Abraham revealed in a new interview that she once fought for her daughter, Sophia, 7, to be allowed to wear makeup to school.

Chatting with the Allegedly podcast’s Theo Von and Matthew Cole on Tuesday, August 9, the 16 & Pregnant alum, 25, responded to criticism over giving her daughter permission to get dolled up at a young age.

"You know, when your kids are 5 or 6 they already start playing with makeup," Abraham said. "And I was the only mother in freakin' elementary school getting called in to deal with makeup on her daughter."

In response, the single mom told Sophia’s elementary school principal that if she doesn’t want to see her female students wear a full face to class, then she should stop wearing makeup herself.

"So I said to them — and I proved my point because then the principal switched schools — I go, 'Well then you should take off your makeup. If you don't want little girls coming to school with makeup then don't wear makeup,’” the MTV personality explained. “And then ever since I've seen that principal she hasn't had makeup on her face."

Abraham, who welcomed Sophia at age 17 in 2009 with her late boyfriend Derek Underwood, told Von and Cole that she is no longer concerned about the opinions of those who don’t agree with Sophia’s precocious penchant for beauty products. "There's bigger things to worry about than makeup," she said.

As previously reported, the My Teenage Dream Ended author received major backlash back in June when she posted suggestive modeling photos of her little girl on Instagram. In one of the pics, Sophia — clad in a gingham two-piece — appears to be half-submerged in a pool as she gazes into the camera while wearing heavy eye shadow and pink lip gloss.

While some called the series of snaps “disturbing” and “horrible,” Abraham seem pleased with the images.

“Happy #sunday @rlsmodelsphotography God gave me an extraordinary young lady @sophialabraham I’m so blessed,” she proudly wrote at the time. “excited to see all the great things flourish in Sophia’s life journey #blessed #beauty #photography.”
