Khloe Kardashian: I Have Concerns About Lamar Odom Pursuing a Basketball Career Again

The E! series’ preview clip shows Kris Jenner asking the former NBA star, 36 — who continues to recover from his near-fatal overdose in October 2015 — whether he has been spending any time on the court lately. Odom’s most recent stint as a pro basketball player ended when he was waived by the New York Knicks in July 2014.

“Have you tried to play basketball again just for fun?” the matriarch, 60, asks. “Like dribble a ball or bounce it around for a minute?”

Odom replies, “I’m going to go to this training facility in Santa Barbara — a lot of pros and guys that would be pros work out there.”

Kardashian, 32, tells the camera that she wants to encourage Odom to return to the game, but she’s worried about whether he’s truly committed to it. (The pair married in 2009, and Kardashian initially filed for divorce in December 2013. She withdrew the papers in October 2015 before filing again in May 2016.)

“Like, I need to see some consistency and a little effort on Lamar’s part,” she continues. “Going to a basketball camp is a big step, and I don’t want to set him up for failure.”
