Jana Kramer has only been a mom for seven months, but she’s already a master at preventing infant meltdowns during an outside excursion.
“Keeping my baby Jolie happy on walks is an absolute must, because if she’s not happy then I’m definitely not enjoying my peaceful walk with her at all,” the country singer, 32, tells Us Weekly video.
Kramer’s solution: She drapes a light blanket over her daughter’s Orbit Baby stroller to block outside stimuli such as cars and trees. “This definitely [helps her get] some quality nap time,” Kramer explains. “I’m able to peek over and see my beautiful baby girl sleeping.” And it protects Jolie’s delicate skin from harmful UV rays.
The Nashville, Tennessee–based mama also relies on the Sleep Sheep, a plush, portable stuffed lamb with a built-in sound machine. “I love it because you can put it in the stroller, she loves it because it’s super soft,” says the star. “She also loves the sounds that the Sleep Sheep makes.”
And both Kramer and NFL player Mike Caussin (they announced their separation on Wednesday, August 24) swear by their LilleBaby carrier. “When Jolie is in the carrier she hears my heart beat … and it instantly soothes her,” says the “I Got the Boy” singer. Added bonus: “Every pound she gains is a workout! for me!”
Kramer and Caussin welcomed Jolie Rae on January 31. Us Weekly exclusively broke the news in May 2015 that Kramer and the athlete, 29, had married in Charlottesville, Virginia, after more than a year of dating.
