Another baby joining the brood! Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar celebrated their daughter Jessa Duggar’s second pregnancy with a sweet Facebook post on Tuesday, August 23.
“Every child is a precious gift from God! We are so excited about another grandchild!” the parents to 19 kids wrote on their official family account, along with a link to Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald’s announcement. This will be the seventh grandchild for Michelle and Jim Bob.
The 23-year-old Duggar sister and Seewald, 21, confirmed to Us Weekly on Tuesday that they’re expecting their second child.
“We are overjoyed to announce that Spurgeon has a new title in life as ‘big brother’! We are so thankful that God is adding to our family,” the couple’s statement read. “2017 is shaping up to be a wonderful year already and we know Spurgeon will do a great job in his new role. Having Spurgeon has been such a wonderful blessing and we cannot wait to see the face of this sweet new baby (or babies!).”
The couple also shared the statement on their website, along with an adorable family photo featuring 9-month-old Spurgeon and a sign that read: “Doubling the love. Feb 2017.”
The 19 Kids and Counting alum and Seewald married in November 2014 in Bentonville, Arkansas. One year later, they welcomed their baby boy.
Their happy news comes after they told Us Weekly that they’d love to adopt one day.
“We have many friends who have walked this road, so we have seen firsthand the amazing power of adoption,” the couple told Us in May. “There are so many kids out there who are longing for the love of a family, and we feel strongly about opening our hearts and our home to welcome them in.”
The expectant reality star’s second pregnancy will be documented on season two of Counting On, which premieres on Tuesday, August 23, on TLC at 8 p.m. ET.
