Penny problems! Carrie Underwood's dog had no regrets after stealing a piece of French toast from the singer's son, Isaiah. The country singer shared what happened via Instagram on Friday, September 2.
"Got up from the breakfast table to change a diaper and this is what happens!" Underwood, 33, captioned a video of the family pup. "Naughty Penny!"
In the clip, the American Idol alum scolds Penny for her bad table manners. The dachshund mix listens intently but appears to focus more on licking her lips after the tasty treat.
"Penny Jean, you took French toast off the table. That was your little brother's French toast," Underwood says off camera, referring to her and Mike Fisher's 18-month-old toddler.
"You're not even sorry. Quit licking your lips!" the Grammy winner adds, laughing. "That was a giant piece of French toast. You didn't even share with Ace. Hey, I'm talking to you! That was naughty. I need you to feel bad about this." (Underwood and the NHL player also have a pooch named Ace.)
The "Blown Away" singer has always been a pet advocate. Back in 2014, she volunteered at a pet shelter and documented the experience on social media. "Spent the last couple days volunteering at an animal shelter. Lots of puppies = lots of poop! Oh … so much," she captioned in one Vine video. "How’d I get poop on my shoulder? Weird."
