Headed for divorce? Larry King is heartbroken following reports that his wife, Shawn King, has allegedly been having a affair for a year, an insider tells Us Weekly.
“He was blindsided,” a source tells Us. “Larry is hurt and sad about the allegations. He doesn’t know what to do. They haven’t made any decisions about their marriage yet.”
The veteran journalist, 82, and Shawn married in 1997 and have two sons, Chance, 17, and Cannon, 16.
“They’ve been living separate lives for many years,” the source adds. “They love their kids.”
Page Six reported that the man Shawn, 56, allegedly cheated with is motivational speaker Richard Greene. According to multiple reports, Shawn and Greene briefly split but allegedly are now back together. Lawyers for the Kings, and a rep for Green, told Page Six the story of the affair is “inaccurate”
The former CNN host, who has been married to six other women before, and Shawn have gone through tough times in the past. The two both filed for divorce in April 2010, citing irreconcilable differences, but they reconnected months later.
“We love our children, we love each other, we love being a family. That is all that matters to us,” the couple said in a joint statement, via the New York Daily News, that July. “We owe it to ourselves and our children to continue being dedicated to each other.” (At the time, Shawn’s sister, Shannon Engemann, slammed rumors that she was having an affair with Larry.)
