British singer Stacey Solomon taught one British newspaper a very important lesson: Body-shaming is never acceptable.

The singer, 26, hit back at The Sun, after it ran side-by-side bikini photos of her and fellow X Factor alum Louisa Johnson. “X Factor stars Stacey Solomon and Louisa Johnson show it’s a case of sinky pinky and perky with contrasting bikini styles,” the piece read. “Stacey, 26, left, who finished third on the 2009 series of the talent show, seemed to have trouble keeping hers on while on holiday in Ibiza. Meanwhile, last year’s winner Louisa, 18, showed how it should be done while on break in L.A.”

I LOVE MY BODY @TheSun My boobs are a result of being pregnant & breast feeding & I love them. I Am just as sexy! ?

Then in the caption next to Solomon’s picture, the writer quipped: “Top flop … former X Factor singer Stacey gets that sinking feeling.”

Solomon, who is the single mother of Zachary, 8, and Leighton, 4, hit back at the paper by reposting their spread on Instagram. “I LOVE MY BODY @TheSun My boobs are a result of being pregnant & breast feeding & I love them,” she wrote in the August 21 post. “I Am just as sexy!”

Her post has received more than 14,000 likes and nearly 700 supportive comments.

“It made me emotional because I thought about all of the mothers, women or girls out there who may read the article and feel as though they need to have perfectly perky boobs and a tiny frame to be getting it right, which is just ridiculous,” Solomon told Today Parent on Monday, August 22.

“Louisa is absolutely beautiful in her own right, and nowhere should two women be compared to one another in order to distinguish the ‘better woman,” she added. “We are all perfect in our own ways.”
