No regrets. Bethenny Frankel did not hold back about her ongoing battle with Luann de Lesseps when she was quizzed about it on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday, September 7.
The episode aired right after part two of the explosive Real Housewives of New York City reunion, which showed Frankel and the countess continuing to spar over de Lesseps’ fiancé Tom D’Agostino‘s dating history with Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer.
Andy Cohen kicked off Wednesday’s episode of WWHL by asking the Skinnygirl mogul if there was anything she didn’t get a chance to say to de Lesseps at the reunion. “I think her despicable and tragic behavior speaks for itself,” the 45-year-old shot back.
Frankel seemed unable to get over the fact that de Lesseps had accused her of dating boyfriend Dennis Shields while both of them were still technically married. “When someone says that I’m cheating or that I’m with someone who’s cheating and it could affect their whole family or flush through a whole press cycle, I’m not in that much of a good mood,” she said, adding that she almost asked Cohen to perform a lie detector test at that point.
Despite being fired up over the accusation, Frankel said that she’s “not even upset with” de Lesseps anymore. “It’s sort of just expected at this point — Luann’s behavior being in the toilet bowl.”
But there was still some residual anger when fellow WWHL guest, and Real Housewives superfan, Michael Rapaport asked Frankel if she ever thought a physical fight could take place at a Real Housewives of New York City reunion.
“I said to Andy, ‘If I didn’t have a business, I would have grabbed Luann by the throat,'” she said. “I wouldn’t have minded strangling her.”
“Luann never mentioned that ‘Oh, God, my guy cheated,'” Frankel continued. “It was all me. I’m the terrible person — shoot the messenger.”
“What did I really do?” she continued, referring to her decision to share photos with de Lesseps that showed her fiancé cozying up to another woman. “I didn’t know what to do, and I would do it again.”
