Hello, little one! Laguna Beach alum Morgan Smith (née Olsen) gave birth to a baby girl — who she named Georgia — on Saturday, September 24, and shared several adorable snapshots of her new bundle of joy via Instagram.
The former MTV personality first posted a heartwarming pic of the infant wrapped in a blanket with a giant pink bow on her head. “She’s here! Welcome to the world baby girl,” Smith — who also shares son Theo, 2, with husband Joel — wrote alongside the photo. “We love you more than you know 💓💓💓.”
In a subsequent ‘gram, the California native uploaded a supersweet pic of her son holding his little sister, captioned: “And then my heart exploded! 💓💓💓 Can’t get over … they’re both mine!! #siblings.”
Finally, the proud mom revealed her daughter’s unique moniker, and told fans that she and her hubby welcomed their latest addition on their wedding anniversary. “Introducing our sweet, Georgia! 9lbs 11oz, 21 inches. Born 9.24.16 (our anniversary),” she gushed. “We are smitten 👼🏻 #lovechild.”
Aside from expanding her family, the one-time reality star has been busy working on her children’s swimwear line, Minnow, and updating her lifestyle blog, Smith, Here.
Back in May, she and her costars — Christina Sinclair, Alex Murrel, Taylor Cole and Jason Wahler — got back together to film an E! reunion special in honor of Laguna Beach’s 12th anniversary. During a 2013 interview with BusterandEllie.com, Smith opened up about that time in her life and even commented on what her children might think when they realize their mother’s teenage life was caught on camera alongside the likes of Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari.
“The show was a really exciting phase of my life, but that’s all. It never defined who I was. I was so young at the time — 17 — that I hadn’t developed myself independently or professionally,” the Brigham Young University grad explained. “I got my senior year on tape, which I think is pretty special to show my kids someday. Who knows? They will probably be embarrassed by it, ha!”
